Mountains

Tall and majestic they stand; guarding their precious secret they hold with in.
Intimidating and sometimes forbidding they stand longer than civilization itself.
Only Father Time and Mother Nature will see their fall.

In their mists I feel peace and security. They are an oasis of beauty and wonder, truly a majestic creation. Sacred guards of sweet innocence they will be. Furtile valleys they surround filled with new life and hope, hidden from the outside a secret they will keep.

You

Here is to the friend who has seen me through it all. To your compassion. To your patience with my awkward way of describing things because you see past the words into me and you are still here. I could not ask for a more consistant friend than you. I thank God
for your friendship. Thank you for being there for me when I needed you the most. You will never know how much you have done by simply being there to listen to me. I will forever be grateful for that. I know that I can count on you for anything and you are there.
Someday I hope you find what you need, and deserve.

Masquerade

Each day is a masquerade,
I hide beneath my mask as I watch the world, safe from its prying eyes
Closely I guard my soul, fearful of its release.
Days pass and I begin to share a little, yet still holding back, not sure if I feel completely safe.
Time continues on, I stand alone as the mask drops to the ground, the time has come to rid myself of its comfort, yet still I desire its comfort
Life is full of its cruelties, and behind the mask I find my comfort.
For now I have learned I can face the world, but when my strength wains, there in the safety of my mask I find my strength is reborn.

Fantasy

Come away with me to a land far beyond where fancy’s flight is real. Fairies and elves dance by moonlight to the beat of the shepherd’s drum. Fields of clover with leprechaun’s gold small brooks bubbling by. On the seas brave men search for the dreams that have long eluded many.
Moonlight dances ore shimmering fields that whisper of the nights festivities. Flute and drum echo in the woods carrying the spirits laughing as they go. Childlike and innocent are they who come alive proud and strong. A world kept hidden and safe where few know the way and fewer find it. But come with me and I will show you the way. Come away with me to a land far beyond where fancy’s flight is real.

It

It is a bitter pill to swallow and it only seems to deepen before it finally fades away.
It causes one to weep torents of tears filled with pain and frustration as your herat crys out why?
To experiance the joy we must also feel the pain but sometimes you wonder why you feel so much all at once. You wonder if fate has an ironic sense of humor for trice it has delt you pain. Joy is in your future, but at times like this when it consumes your heart you wonder if it is all true.

Invisible

Invisible I walk among men, feeling and seeing everything but seen and felt by few. I notice all around from my perch on the side lines watching and waiting for the chance to imerse myself among the world for a time.
Moving in and out of the crowds I touch many but I am felt by few. Content have I been until now to be the silent observer.
Now I long to be noticed by those in my world. I strive to reach others but too long have I remained annonymous and unseen. Now I must strive to break beyond this barrier and remove the mask which I have donned for so long and be recognized by those around me. Will it stop? Am I free? Am I invisible?

Remember

Remember the days that we laughed and played.
We were friends then and were always meant to be.
I told you everything; you were my sole confidant in everything.
I never thought the day would come when our friendship would play its last act.
Even though we are still here we seem to be so many miles apart.
Sometimes you reach out and say hello and for a moment I think you have returned. Always though you return and leave me here alone.
I have met others, and they help heal the emptiness, but I still need your friendship.
Only your friendship can heal the emptiness of where you once did reside in my heart.
What did I do to make you go away?
Why have you left me behind while you travel on?
I never thought you would leave you and I were best of friends with so much to share.
Now, you never notice if I exist and every time I see you I cry a little more.
We are family and nothing will change it.
Please come back.
Do not leave me again.
Let’s try and start again.
You be you and I’ll be me.
Let the pretending stop and the renewing begin.
You are my friend, remember me.
