Here I sit in this room surrounded by volumes of knowledge on either side scattered helplessly. It is each day that I find my library in such a state. However no one seems to mind. How can they though? They are not the ones who return each night to put them in their proper place only to see them trampled on the ground once more.
How long must I endure the abuse of my beloved books? When I began I thought to myself let me share my wonderful collection with all! Let every man and women and their children come to my store and bask in the glory of knowledge.
What a waste of time and effort this continues to be, every day they come in by the tens to search my books yet they do not respect the amount of wisdom with in their pages.
Oh a few of them take the time to return my books to their proper place. I have even seen a few reverently wipe the dust from off their pages. But these are the uncommon few. Yet it is for them that I keep my library open. I could not bear to see their sad faces hurt that the vast volumes of knowledge I have are not within their reach.
If only though they could teach their fellow brethren the respect, which these books call for.
Oh well I rather see my books loved than not even if I do have to pick up them again and again.
